Matt Lindemann
– 4th VP, Williamson Co SO, Sheriff
Matthew Lindemann completed the Central Texas Regional Police Academy in March of 1985. He began his law enforcement career immediately after serving as a Williamson County Deputy Sheriff. In 1990, he was hired by the Texas Department of Public Safety. He served as a State Trooper in Williamson County and the department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team. Matt was promoted to Texas Ranger in 1997 and was stationed in Greenville. A few months later, he returned to Austin and eventually Georgetown. Additional duties while serving as a Ranger included firearms instructor, digital police photography instructor, dignitary protective duties for Governors Bush and Perry during their presidential campaigns, and the Ranger Reconnaissance Team. He was promoted to Texas Ranger Lieutenant and was stationed in Austin until his retirement in 2018. He then served as a Williamson Co. DA investigator for over two and a half years before being appointed Williamson Co. Pct. 3 Constable in October 2021. In November of 2024, he was elected Sheriff of Williamson County and sworn in on January 1st. 2025. He and his wife M’Lissa have been married for thirty-five years; they have two married children and three lovely grandchildren. He has been a proud member of the Texas Police Association since April 6, 1989.
